1. Suzuki Swift:
The fourth generation Swift was previewed as the Swift Concept on 25 October 2023. The production model was officially introduced first in Japan on 6 December 2023.
The hatchback is still underpinned by the same Heartect platform, but redesigned to appeal the Generation Z. Despite having similar exterior design as the prior generation, the refreshed design is claimed 4.6% more aerodynamic by adopting back door side spoilers, optimizing the front strake, front bumper and wheel shape. The hidden door handle on the rear door frame is also reverted back to normal position to blend with the side body lines and bringing back older Swift's design identity. The Japanese market Swift received slightly different exterior details such as a different mesh grille design with chrome garnish and additional rear bumper cover for the top two models as standard. The NVH are also improved with several modifications.
For the interior, it sported new multi-layered dashboard design similar to Sx4 S Cross or Baleno, redesign door panels and a bigger 9-inch LCD display for the top model. The safety and convenience feature are also revamped with additional front parking sensors, electonic parking brake, driver monitoring system and an advanced collision avoidance system Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II) which added wider detection range for bicycles and motorcycles.
Powertrain
A brand new 1.2 L three-cylinder engine called Z12E was also introduced, replacing the older K12D/N Dualjet four-cylinder engines and available in conventional or mild hybrid versions. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a newly developed lightweight CVT, available for both front or all-wheel drive configurations. A 5-speed automated manual transmission Auto Gear Shift (AGS) is also available mainly for Indian market.
2. Tata Punch:
The Tata Punch is a crossover city car (A-segment) manufactured by Tata Motors Cars since 2021. This car price 6.13 lakhs Positioned as the smallest SUV of the brand below the Nexon, the Punch is built on ALFA-ARC platform shared with the Altroz hatchback. The concept was revealed as H2X compact SUV (codenamed Hornbill) at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show in 2019, followed by the near-production HBX concept at the Auto Expo 2020. On 23 August 2021, the vehicle was revealed with the name Punch. The car was unveiled on 4 October 2021. It is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine which is shared with the Altroz, Tiago, and Tigor.

The Hyundai Exter is an A-segment crossover SUV manufactured by the South Korean automaker Hyundai. This Car price is 6.13 lakhs The model was unveiled on 8 May 2023 for the Indian market. Styling features include H-shaped LED daytime running lights and square headlights, alongside large intakes on the front bumper. In December 2023, Hyundai Exter was selected as the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2024.
4. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R:
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R (or Wagon R) is a city car manufactured and marketed by Suzuki through its subsidiary Maruti Suzuki primarily for the Indian market since 1999. This car price is 5.54 lakhs The Wagon R was launched in India on 18 December 1999, and has since undergone several upgrades. The second-generation Wagon R model and styling was also shared with the Karimum Wagon R for the Indonesian market and the Wagon R for the Pakistani market, despite several differences.
While initially the Maruti-built Wagon R shared its platform from the Japanese market Wagon R key Car, the third generation Maruti-built Wagon R is unrelated with the later versions of the Wagon R sold in Japan. Instead, the car was built from ground up above the HEARTECT platform.
The Wagon R built in India is also exported to several neighbour countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka, dropping the "Maruti" moniker.
As of 31 December 2019, the Wagon R has been sold over 2.4 million units in India.
The third generation Wagon R was launched in India on 23 January 2019. The third generation Wagon R shares its HEARTECT platform with the Ignis, among other distant models including Celerio, Baleno, and Swift and Wagon R key car. As the result, the car is lighter than the outgoing model while also having a stronger body structure. As Suzuki distanced the Indian market Wagon R with the Japanese market Wagon R which its dimensions stuck within the kei car regulation, the third generation Wagon R become larger than its predecessor. The wheelbase is 35 mm (1.4 in) longer and the width has increased by a significant 125 mm (4.9 in). As the result, the interior size is increased significantly, the car offers larger legroom and shoulder room at the back, and would be able to properly carry five people instead of four. Capitalizing its size changes, Maruti Suzuki is marketing the car as the "Big New Wagon R".
Other than India, the car is also exported to Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The latter marketed the car as Grand Wagon R.
For the first time, the Wagon R is offered with two engine options. The base option is the K10B 1.0-litre petrol engine carried from the previous generation, with a more powerful K12M 1.2-litre petrol engine as an option. The 1.0-litre is only offered with manual transmission while the 1.2-litre is available with either manual transmission or AMT. The 1.2-litre engine of the Wagon R produces 82 PS (60 kW) of power and 113 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre engine option will deliver 68 PS (50 kW) of power and 90 Nm of torque. A factory-fitted CNG kit option is also offered in India for the 1.0 LXI trim. It produces lesser power and torque when on CNG mode and also heavier than petrol variant.
The improved Wagon R was introduced on 25 February 2022. The car received new K10C 1.0 and K12N 1.2-litre Dualjet engines with idle start stop system, beige and dark grey dual tone interior colour, dual tone exterior colour with black roof, black coloured 14-inch alloy wheels and hill-hold assist for AMT model. The Wagon R for India with driver airbag received 2 stars for adult occupants and 2 stars for toddlers from Global NCAP in 2019 (similar to Latin NCAP 2013). Later, it was again crash tested in Global NCAP but it was rated at 1 star.
5. Tata Altroz:
The Tata Altroz is a Subcompact car/supermini manufactured by Tata Motors. This car price is 6.65 lakhs The Altroz was revealed at the 89th Geneva International moto show alongside the new Buzzard, Buzzard sport, and H2X compact SUV concept. It was launched to the Indian market on 22 January 2020. The name "Altroz" was inspired by the name of bird species, Albatoss. At present, the Altroz has three engines on offer, which are 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, 1.5-litre turbodiesel and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol. There is a 5-speed manual transmission on offer, with an optional wet-clutch DCT automatic known as Altroz DCA.
The 6-speed DCT gearbox is paired with the same 1.2-liter Revotron engine found in the Tata Tigor and Tigor models, producing 86 horsepower (64 kW; 87 PS) of power at 6,000 rpm and 113 N⋅m (83 lb⋅ft; 12 kg⋅m) of torque at 3,300 rpm.
On 7 June 2024, Tata launched the performance variant called Altroz Racer. It is powered by 1.2 L Turbo petrol engine producing 120 PS power and 170 Nm torque. It comes in 3 variants with price starting at INR 9.49 lakh. The Tata Altroz was tested by the Global NCAP in 2020 (similar to Latin NCAP 2013) in its basic safety specification of two airbags and ISOFIX anchorages as standard. It achieved five stars for adult occupant protection (becoming the second Indian car to do so) and three stars for child occupant protection. Its structure was rated as capable of withstanding further loadings. The car does not offer ESC or side airbags on any variant and does not offer three-point seatbelts in all seating positions (Tata offers Corner Stability Control on all variants but this has limited functionality when compared to ESC).
6. Suzuki Eeco:
The Suzuki Eeco (previously known as Suzuki Versa) is a microvan produced by Suzuki through its Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki since 2010. This car price is 4.78 lakhs It is a stripped down version of the discontinued Versa which itself was the Indian version of the Suzuki Every plus/Landy, which is an extended version of the tenth generation Carry van. It is also the entry-level replacement for the Omni, discontinued in 2019 after Suzuki was unable to redesign the Omni to meet India's safety standards.
Since 2022, the Eeco has been exported to markets such as the Middle East.
Versa
Originally, the van was launched as Versa in 2001 and based on the Every Plus / Carry 1.3. The van was powered by the same 1298cc G13BB engine that also seen in the original model or the familiar Esteem. The engine puts out 83 PS (61 kW; 82 hp) and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was offered in there trim levels; STD, DX and DX2. The van was later discontinued in late 2009.
Eeco
In March 2019, the Eeco received major safety features such as driver side airbag, ABS, seat belt reminder system, speed alert and reverse parking sensors as standard across the range.
In November 2022, the Eeco received few upgrades such as a new engine, which is a 1.2-litre K12N Dual jet petrol engine, which produces 81 PS (60 kW; 80 hp), an increase of 8 PS (6 kW; 8 hp), and a claimed 25–29% higher fuel efficiency. It also received a digital speedometer from the S-Presso, engine immobiliser, new steering wheel design and steering column, rotary dials for the AC knob, cabin air-filter for the AC, illuminated hazard switch, and dual airbags. The Eeco also started being exported to the Middle East.
The Eeco for India with no airbags nor ABS received 0 stars for adult occupants and 2 stars for toddlers from Global NCAP in 2016 (similar to Latin NCAP 2013).
7. Renault Kwid:
The car was designed by an engineers' team settled in India led by Gerard Detourbet, a senior engineer, former mathematician described as "an innovation a minute" who led the development team for the first-generation Dacia Logan.
The Kwid was unveiled at Chennai on 20 May 2015 by Renault's CEO Carlos Ghosn. Ghosn said the car would be "a game changer for Renault in India." The car has 98 per cent of parts localisation and extensive engineering by local Renault personnel. The Kwid is aimed at competing with other small cars within the Indian market, such as the Suzuki Alto, and incorporates uncommon equipment for its segment such as a digital instrument cluster and a multimedia touchscreen.
In September 2015, the Kwid was launched in India at a starting price of 257,000 rupees, equal to $3,884. Sales started in September and had a "flying start" of 25,000 bookings in 2 weeks and 50,000 in 5 weeks, then 70,000 in 2 months, getting 10% of effective market shares in its segment. The Indian version is exported to various overseas markets such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Tunisia and Sub-Saharan Africa. At launch, the only engine available was a three-cylinder, 799 cc unit with a 40 kw (54 HP) power output and 72 N.M (53 Ib.ft) torque, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. According to the Indian newspaper The Financial Express, Kwid's 300-litre boot space is "the most voluminous in its class" and its fuel efficiency is "class-leading", at 59.2 mpg‑US; 3.973 l/100 km (25.17 km/L). In August 2016, the Kwid received a more powerful 1.0-liter engine. The Kwid 1.0 is powered by a 999 cc engine which churns out 50 kW (67 hp) of power and 91 N⋅m (67 lb⋅ft) of peak torque.
8. Tata Tiago:
Since March 2017, a sedan derivative of the Tiago known as the Tigor has been produced.
History
The Tata Tiago was created as the successor of the previous Tata Boltt, which was not met with much success. Tata began designing a completely new vehicle (Kite project) of a city car with 5-door body that could boost the sales of the brand in the Indian automotive market.
The car was based on the Tata X0 platform that also underpinned the Indica and the Bolt, however the platform was modified and shortened in order to lower production costs. Tata also used the in-house Revotron and Revotorq three-cylinder engines, replacing the Fiat FIRE and Multjet engines used in previous models. The Tiago is being produced only in right-hand drive at the Tata Motors Sanand plant in India.
The Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder 12V petrol that produces 83 BHP (62 kW) power and 114 N⋅m (84 lb⋅ft; 12 kg⋅m) of maximum torque combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed AMT, or a 1.1-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engine producing 69 BHP (51 kW) of power and 140 N⋅m (103 lb⋅ft; 14 kg⋅m) of maximum torque, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission.
In September 2018, Tata Motors launched the Tiago NRG, a crossover like trim with the ground clearance increased by 10 mm (0.4 in) plastic cladding, two-tone alloy wheels and a rear bumper shield. The Tiago NRG is sold with both 1.2 petrol and 1.1 diesel engines.
In 2020, the Indian manufactured Tiago was crash tested in its basic safety specification for the Indian market by the Global NCAP, scoring four stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for child occupant protection. The Tiago offers dual airbags as standard across all the variants but does not offer side airbags, ESC or ISOFIX anchors. It does not have three-point seatbelts or head restraints in all seating positions. Its structure was deemed to be incapable of withstanding further loading during the crash test.
9. Nissan Magnite:
The vehicle is exported to several right-hand drive emerging markets worldwide, consisting of Indonesia, South Africa, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Uganda, Kenya, Seychelles, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius, Tanzania, and Malawi.The name "Magnite" is a portmanteau of the words "magnetic" and "ignite".
The production model was revealed on 21 October 2020, and production started on 30 October 2020. It was launched in India on 2 December 2020, followed by Indonesia on 21 December.
The vehicle is built on an extended version of the CMF-A platform called the CMF-A+ platform. The platform also underpins the Renault Triber and Kiger.
In October 2023, the Magnite gained an automated manual transmission option (marketed as EZ-Shift) for the turbocharged model.
10. Hyundai Aura:
The Aura features an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto system and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a Arkamys music system and a half-digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it is also well equipped with comfort features such as wireless charging, rear AC vent, rear centre armrest.
The Aura is available with three engine options. The only diesel option is the U-Line 1.2 L turbodiesel producing 75 PS (55 kW; 74 hp). The petrol engine is a 1.2 L naturally aspirated petrol engine shared with the Grand i10 Nios, and a 1.0 L turbocharged GDI petrol unit which can generate 100 PS (74 kW; 99 hp) of peak power.
The Hyundai Aura CNG has a 1.2-liter petrol engine that can run on both petrol and CNG. The engine is BS6 compliant and produces a maximum power of 68 horsepower at 6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 95Nm at 4,000rpm.
The facelift Aura was launched on 23 January 2023 in India, featuring a redesigned front fascia.
